Bert Weckhuysen speaks out on research funding

In an interview in DUB, the news site of Utrecht University, Bert Weckhuysen speaks out on the funding system for academic research. What is needed, is a sustainable model for education and science. One of the conditions is fair funding, another is a fair personnel policy. Weckhuysen notes that many of his colleagues structurally work extreme hours, which is aggravated when the grind of the job overpowers the joy of research.
