Poster and presentation awards at the 2021 NCCC conference

Great successes at the 22nd Netherlands Catalysis and Chemistry Conference (NCCC)! Iris ten Have has received the NIOK Lecture Award for the best presentation for her talk titled “Identifying Aldehyde Functionalities as a Source for Polyaromatics during Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis” with co-authors Alexander P. van Bavel, Adriaan J. A. Duijndam, Robert Geitner, Tianbai Huang, Stephan Kupfer, Stefanie Gräfe, Koen W. Bossers, Florian Meirer and Bert M. Weckhuysen. The award of Iris consisted of a plaque and a prize of 500 euros.

Erik Maris has won the Poster Award at NCCC for his poster entitled Making more efficient zeolites: Visualizing motion on the single-molecule level”. The jury particularly appreciated the infographic-style layout, which allowed easy reading on a computer screen, and embedded sound fragments that made up an audio tour explaining the poster.

Congratulations, Iris and Erik!
