Congratulations to Dr. Rafaël Vos for an Excellent PhD Defense. Rafaël has successfully defended his PhD thesis, supervised by Prof. Marc Koper and Prof. Bert Weckhuysen.
In his thesis, Rafaël has examined the effect of temperature and pressure on the electrochemical CO2 reduction across eight sections. The work begins with an introduction to the field of electrochemistry and CO2RR specifically. The subsequent research presents the effect of pressure at ambient pressure on various catalysts, including gold, copper, silver, copper-silver alloy and nickel. The later portion details the development of a high-temperature high-pressure electrochemical cell, which is then used to study the effect of temperature at elevated pressures.
