NWO has awarded an ENW-Klein grant for the project ‘Optical control over the blinking behavior of colloidal quantum dots’ to Freddy Rabouw (ICC/SCMB). The project aims at developing a new method for super-resolution fluorescence microscopy with colloidal quantum dot labels. This method relies on switching the labels on and off, which the researchers will achieve with a two-pulse two-color laser excitation scheme.
