The purpose of my project is to characterize micro-nano plastics (MNPs) in solution and use the obtained knowledge to track MNPs in human samples, especially blood. This project is part of the Momentum consortium and will be performed in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. A major knowledge gap exists regarding MNP’s impact on human health. In my research, I use PiFM and Py-GC-MS techniques to measure polymer types, sizes, and morphologies in diverse samples.
